Shadow
'Shadow' our little bundle of love! Shadow was born: 16th. April 2000 (A true millennium babe!).
Terrier (cross-breed) Coat is Black and some Ash & a few Golden highlights around face.
We adopted 'Shadow' on 10th. November 2001.

During November 2001 we were informed that this little treasure was in need of a good home by Julia at the 'New Tredegar Rescue Centre' here in South Wales - having grieved the loss of our sweet Pepper the previous year, we felt we were ready to give our love to another bundle of fun, and we have since been so happy with our little lovable friend we named Shadow.....
The picture here was taken on her first few days with us....and yes, she looked a bit like cartoon character 'Dougal'...we fell head over heels in love with her, and we'd known it since her first lick! Shadow is extremely gentle and affectionate, when she was very young her way of greeting us was to place her paws on our shoulders, and lick our faces and looking hard into our eyes at the same time, we understand that the licking may not be to everyone's liking, but we loved her demonstrative nature, and the licking business has calmed down a lot since then ... she really is a joy to be with, a genuine character who loves being around people, especially children.
We discovered early on that Shadow loves cats, and cats like her, she's made friends with many cats that we've met on our regular walks. Shadow will spot a cat in someone's garden, stand at the gate and look at the cat with her tail wagging, as soon as she has the cat's attention, she then sits, stares and waits...whatever friendly message she sends to a cat it seems to work because the cat will start making a confident stroll toward Shadow coming right up close, and its not very long before the cat is purring and stroking against her face, it never fails to amaze me and often the cat's owners who look on with wonder, often stating that their cat doesn't do that, it doesn't like dogs normally!
